M DOT BRANDO – “MISUNDERSTOOD”
Posted: January 17, 2014 in UncategorizedTags: Jay Stilla, M DOT BRANDO, san francisco, TXP
San Francisco, CA. December/2013 – M Dot Brando is at it again with his latest release “Misunderstood” produced by The Beat Cellar’s Jay Stilla. This single marks his tenth release since May of 2009. “Just trying to get back to the grass roots of our style of music. Jay and I feel like we’re a hidden entity in San Francisco still working on what we have built”. ~ M Dot Brando. “It’s been a long road, but at least we’ve been blessed to have put something together here at The Beat Cellar that a lot of other independent work towards having.”
M Dot Brando, who began his career with the T.X.P. in 1998, has certainly established himself as a well rounded solo artist since breaking off from the group to pursue a solo career in 2008. With 7 official music videos and over 10 projects released, M Dot Brando has silently been creating a fan base worthy of praise. “I know that there are a lot of people out there that still have their doubts about me, but that’s why I’m so excited to release this single! It’s about time people start putting their faith in me! ~ M Dot Brando.

Digital Martyrs – Guns Up (Ft.Mikial)
Posted: August 27, 2013 in UncategorizedTags: 415, Bay Area, blog, digital martyrs, first dirt, hip hop, rap, rymeezee, san francisco, sf, video
From the upcoming Martyrmen EP, Bay Area’s underground artists the Digital Martyrs delivers a fresh visual treatment of the second single from the EP in the form of an homage to Quentin Tarantino’s “Reservoir Dogs.” The Martyrs along with Outlaw Dynasty’s Mikial, usually gives their fans a rest from the top-40 rap soundscape in which they classic rhyme delivery and conscious content over soulful, boom-bap production. This song is a notification that they are coming with their ‘guns’ drawn at anyone who stands in their way.
‘Guns Up’ stays in the lane of the more contemporary, trap-like production with edgy and hard-hitting lyrics, in which the Martyrmen delivers their own explosive rendition of today’s rap music.

PLUS ADDITIONAL FESTIVAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
Festival organizers Guerilla Union have announced the third and final artist additions to the ROCK THE BELLS 2013 FESTIVAL SERIES line-up. The festival will feature an exclusive performance from up-and-coming Harlem supergroup A$AP MOB featuring A$AP Rocky, A$AP Ferg, A$AP Ant, A$AP Twelvy, and A$AP Nast (All Markets). Artists also added to the line-up include JOEY BADA$$ with PRO ERA (All Markets), TRINIDAD JAMES (Los Angeles, San Francisco), LOGIC (Washington DC, New York), ACTION BRONSON (Just added to Los Angeles, San Francisco), STALLEY (All Markets), YOUNG DIRTY BASTARD (All Markets), and THE INTERNET (All Markets). These additions join previously announced artists KID CUDI, BLACK HIPPY, J. COLE, WU-TANG CLAN, and many more.
Rock The Bells is pleased to announce the availability of single day tickets. Chang Weisberg, Guerilla Union president and Rock The Bells founder, explains, “As we’ve grown into a two-day festival, we’ve learned a lot. Unfortunately, not all our fans have the ability to attend both days. Due to overwhelming demand, we are providing a single day ticket for those who still want to experience Rock The Bells, but can’t commit to both days.” For fans who are deciding which day to attend, the performance breakout by day has also been released for all markets and is now available at http://www.rockthebells.net/line-up.
The original virtual performances of legendary and iconic artists Eazy-E of NWA and Ol’ Dirty Bastard of Wu-Tang Clan are fully endorsed by their respective estates and family members. Weisberg states, “Despite initial reports of problems with rights clearances, I’m very pleased to announce that the estates are both 100% on board. Furthermore, not only are the families on board with the virtual performances, they are actually participating with the creation of them. This ensures the authenticity and integrity of the performances. It’s a monumental moment for music and technology that Eazy’s and ODB’s children have lent their DNA to these historic performances. Their bodies, faces, and voices have been captured to help recreate their fathers’ avatars. The process has been extremely rewarding to say the least. Seeing family members honoring their fathers in such a unique way has been incredible to witness. Watching Tomica Wright [Eazy-E’s widow] share her most intimate perspective to make sure every detail is authentic and accurate has been a blessing. I almost cried watching Young Dirty Bastard channeling his father’s uncanny stage charisma. It was pure magic. I cannot wait for the family members to see all their hard work. It will truly be historic.”
Guerilla Union is pleased to be part of the dream team helping to bring these legendary performances to life. Festival partners PLAY GIG-IT and AV CONCEPTS will collaborate to bring to life original virtual performances by Eazy-E and Ol’ Dirty Bastard. PLAY GIG-IT, the largest music game in history, will focus on the live performance animation, an area the company is extremely proficient in having already created over seventy avatars for their recently launched Facebook gaming platform. The nation’s leader in holographic effects technology, AV CONCEPTS, will converge creativity and technology to execute the technical design of the holographic-appearing performances. The only company in the world experienced in creating outdoor holographic projections in uncontrolled environments, AV Concepts’ veteran creative team will also collaborate on the creative content, bringing their in-depth expertise and advanced filming processes in producing three-dimensional, life-size illusions.
Rock The Bells is launching a national sweepstakes to give one winner in every market the chance to attend the exclusive soundcheck for the virtual performances of both Ol’ Dirty Bastard and Eazy-E. In addition to this unique experience, winners will also be rewarded with a pair of two-day tickets and hotel accommodations for the weekend. More info can be found at http://www.rockthebells.net/contests.
