Set Times Announced for the Sunset Music Festival This Saturday!!

Organizers of the sixth annual SUNSET STRIP MUSIC FESTIVAL have announced the official set times for this coming Saturday, August 3 street closure. The music–on two outdoor stages in the middle of Sunset Blvd.–begins at 2:30 p.m. and culminates with Linkin Park’s headlining set from 9:30 to 11:00 PM. Bands will also be performing throughout the day and night at The Roxy, Whisky and the new outdoor Viper Room stage.

SSMF, which takes place in The Sunset Strip’s music venues August 1-3, culminates on Saturday, August 3 with a street festival from 2:30 – 11:00 p.m. As in years past for the Saturday event, Sunset Boulevard will be closed to traffic between Doheny Drive and San Vicente Boulevard and transformed into a premier concert destination with two outdoor stages, beer gardens, an artist autograph tent, an outdoor VIP rooftop lounge, VIP Lounge at On The Rox, food trucks, a live art guitar painting by street artist Gregory Siff and Ethos Gallery and interactive experiences. This year also features new additions, including the Viper Room’s Guitar Center outdoor stage and an “Oasis lounge” outside of The Roxy.

J. Cole announced on Monday (July 29) that he and Wale are hitting the road for the What Dreams May Come Tour. He took to Twitter to share a graphic announcing the tour between the Roc Nation friends.

Cole’s rep confirmed the joint venture and shared that the tour will make stops at theaters throughout North America this fall, beginning on September 10 at the James L. Knight Center in Miami, FL concluding on October 30 at the Paramount Theatre in Seattle, WA.

J.Cole’s Dreamville Foundation is the charitable partner for the tour, with a portion from every concert ticket sold going to the organization. The Dreamville Foundation’s mission is to “reveal to youth their limitless potential through life-altering experiences.”

“It’s going to be a wild ride,” shared J.Cole in an official press release for the tour. Tickets go on sale on August 2nd at 10:00am local time.
Cole is also slated to play Rock The Bells in San Bernardino, CA on September 8.

Recently, he apologized for his lyrics on Drake’s “Jodeci Freestyle” involving those with autism. Cole issued a sincere apology via his Dreamvillain blog, (“Last week, when I first saw a comment from someone outraged about the lyric, I realized right away that what I said was wrong”). Drake followed a day later, adding, “I share responsibility and offer my sincerest apologies for the pain this has caused.”

These last couple of weeks have been very exciting for artists Wale and J Cole, after topping the charts with the release of both their new albums, Wale has released a new single with J Cole entitled “Winter Schemes.” Both rappers have joined forces to create this new jam and both artist will be performing at select dates of this years Rock The Bells Tour.

Rock The Bells Announces Additional Artist to the 10 Year Anniversary

Last night in NYC, Rock The Bells announced some more artist to this years lineup. Additional artist have been added to every date but not every artist will be performing in every city.
